So besides putting on a great show last night, Sharon Van Etten and her band also had some Class A stage banter. Between throwing a pick at an audience member who claimed they could see her pit stains (she asked) and doing a bit around New Jersey accents (their hometown) Sharon let fly some one-liners worthy of Mitch Hedberg.
As if that wasn’t charming enough, she invited openers Shearwater (competent but boring) on stage during the encore to do this song.
